  1. I’ve driven both the old R-Tronic and manual and there’s nothing wrong with it! It’s not brilliant, but it’s fine, you just have to learn to adapt to the car and not expect the car to adapt to your lazy, crappy driving style! Compared to Ferrari’s auto manual in the F430, it’s LEAGUES ahead!

  2. Those two would surely never be compared in real terms? Add a few options to a 12C and you’re looking at £200,000! Even the V10 Plus costs way less than the 12C, but as an everyday proposition, I’d love to be in a position to find out. ;-)

For me the R-Tronic ‘box was a little disappointing on track. However, to say – in the video – that the R8 was, ‘too flawed’ because of that gearbox is a bit much. I can imagine it’s a dream with a manual. The S-Tronic has been getting rave reviews though.

  3. I’m so glad he mentioned his mustache cuz that was the very first thing i noticed when he was in the car lmfao!! niice video

  4. lol all the people here being so against autos, face it these new automatics can shift quicker and more efficiently than your precious manual ever could. Manual is primitive and a dying breed, good riddance!!!

  5. I think the Audi R8 is awesome… just.. why won’t they give a nicer interior with proper bucket seats?

  6. Not even kidding :D mofo’s aren’t getting anywhere, one of the many beautiful reasons i love Standard

  7. true I bet he didnt even use the paddleshifters to control the gearbox, if you drive it on automatic why bother?

  8. If you’re referring to what he said in the airplane clip, you realize he was talking about the terrible paddle shift trans they originally had and not the manual, right?

  9. just because he cant drive a manual. its not hard you not being able to drive is what makes it hard.

  10. There is a fastidious road test of the 5.2 here:

  11. wtf the old r8 wasn’t undrinkable, that car is fucking amazing.
this guy is a picky little bitch

  12. i’m gonna take one for the team and do it cuz it’s a lot of fun… lol johnny

  13. REALLT? THis is the one to get? Greater opinions and drivers have proclaimed the Audi R8 to be one of the finest all around sports cars on the market…years ago..you missed the boat by at least 5 years but finally you see the light…down with Zionism by the way, this is not an anti semitic remark but an anti violent anti AIPAC statement and I hope you do a little research as to why I am saying this to you, a journalist. Peace Jonny, nice job BTW

  14. Lemons is a bit touchy about car contact, dunno why since they’re racing junk.

  15. it is coming to canada on Victora weekend regastion is over now But i am in it and yes it is in Canada !

  16. I would definitely do this stuff…

    If I had a stable high-paying job.

It looks insanely fun, hope to try out LeMons or ChumpCar in the future!
