nope the BRZ/FR-S was only 1sec slower than a 370hp dodge charger on a 4.1mile track!! and it did it on Prius tires now that is what i call impressive
No GTI either WTF
Missing the Mazdaspeed3.
I agree mostly, but some people would argue that the extra power will upset the dynamics, suspension and the like, they say it doesn’t fit the car.
VIR doesn’t have very very long straight like nurburgring
lol cant believe the fat ass camaro is doing so well
I would like to see more videos like these to where they have an in-depth look into a cars’ performance stats. Very well done C/D!
What do ya mean – You expected it to be even faster? or how - Looks pretty fast to me.
Subaru and toyota are on the ball when it comes to the BRZ/FRS cars ! But I feel it needs 3 big upgrades to be on top. BETTER TIRES, BETTER BRAKES, A FREAKIN TURBO !
Quite true. But, you know as well as I do that Tobaru will be adding a turbo in short order. I imagine that that will also be mated to some fairly decent rubber and anchors. The car is just sooooo sweet that I imagine that the aftermarket industry is having wet dreams at having something so bare just handed to them. 240-260 horses, 255/35/18′s, upgraded stoppies and suspenders and it would be a poor man’s Caymen. Cheers.
What I would like to know is this…….what was your typical reduction of time per vehicle on your 2nd day of dialing in vs. day 1? Did you shave off a couple of seconds or not even that much?
Trying to get a better idea as to how the Focus ST would have compared.
Wow the genesis killed its class. I was surprised it still had a lap time close to the 335i even with its horrible brakes. I wonder how fast will it be with good brakes?
mainstream…
Hey guys the videos look good and I can’t wait to see how it will develop over time but a little tip though, You should really stop with that extremely long and extremely annoying introduction before every video.
Great show!!!
Needs more WRX.
A small turbo. The BRZ/FR-S has a surprisingly cramped engine compartment. An inline-4 would have more room to work with, if the engine bay was just a bit longer That said, it has been done, by specialists who know what they are doing and making most of the needed parts themselves.
It’s about the same Wt/Pwr ratio as a V6 Mustang of Camaro. But the Mustang a Camaro are overall faster cars despite being heavier. The BRZ/FR-S needs about 240-250hp to really come aline. Low power and slippery tires aren’t doing it for me.
200 hp is not necessarily bad in a 2762 pound car….
On the bright side 500 Abarth sounds nice
ummm yea if they had a problem with brake fade then a turbo would the worst thing to do to it
crushed the key ? ok, so we can trust your profesionalism. no second key? anyway, great shoots.
oink hahaha
What kind of fuckstick stores the key on the roof?
Morons.
hello BRZ STI!!!!!!!!!
