This week we’ve got pigeon shooting with the ‘crow man’ Andy Crow, deerstalking with Sporting Shooter editor Dominic Holtam, the Schools Challenge competition for the best young shooters in Britain, and our own super competition for one lucky viewer to win a TransK9 dog box for your car worth £450. Out with Andy in Kent, the conditions are against him – it’s light, bright and the sun is low – but still he’s there, defending his farm with a team of other pigeon shooters and they manage a 150-bird day. What a spring it’s been so far for pigeon shooters, with the sheer numbers of birds taking the farmers by surprise. Also surprising is the number of entries to this year’s Schools Challenge. Organised by the Oxford Gun Company, the latest in a year of clay competitions and gameshooting days for schools and schoolchildren has introduced thousands of young people to the sport of shooting. Contenders for the title include Kineton High School, Bredon, Bradfield and Millfield. Who is going to win this year? Find out here…
JCH for life what a legend
im from kineton high school
great to see so many young people interested in shooting in england , not many here in ireland. but i really hate to see such young kids with really dear guns and them just snapping them open and closed
I know what you mean man, but tbf its ‘physical education’ so they would say its not physical, but in all fairnuss i enjoyed rugby anyways so wasnt to bothered
i know how you feel…
im 15 and have been shooting since i was about 8, i wish my school in congleton, cheshire would get a team together or just go for a recreational shoot!!!
Andy crow is my hero, when i leave school i want to be just like him when is his dvd out?
manage what???
wow rly you go to south worcester?!?!?!? how did you manage that
I go to Bromsgrove school. Every saturday we go to South wocester shooting. You should really try to push it. Its great fun. Hope to see you there soon
andy crow should make a dvd
excellent show, keep up the good work
I really really enjoy the fieldsports channel, but how about some other fieldsports being covered. It is too shooting heavy, dont get me wrong i shoot, and enjoy watching all the shooting articles, but how about fishing and hunting? You could make a good product great by broadening your topics covered.
at 5:29 look at all that spider webs! wow
this is annoying because i am 15 and am very interested in clay shooting, i have been shooting for 6 years and have been to bredon school. but the high school that i go to has no interest in shooting and our local clay ground only opens on Wednesdays and Sundays. i have been trying to encourage my teachers to get hold of John Clements from South Worcester Shooting Ground to see about some clay shooting instead of rugby or football.
