  1. I own a G8 GT and I love it!!! Really wish they would bring some form of the Commodore back to the states….

  2. thats right mate a while back when the VE first came out they had a documentery about the design and, manufacturing and testing of the car and the car was much better that they were aiming for

  3. MIKE Devereux, You should be the savior in terms of v8 quality sedans ( Holden )…. GM has seen absolutely nothing in terms of internationa v8 sales. get your shit together mike… alot of people are depending on your actions.

  4. that’s true. but it does have some areas which it could improve on. The gear box for one. I just brought a VE SSV II. After coming from a XR6T the drive in the VE is a lot sturdier and comfortable, but if it had the same gearbox as the Ford I wouldn’t be able to fault it…

  5. Yes, Holden: A sweet car for everyone but North America…except sometimes when it’s not. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah.

  6. I am so proud of Holden. Built in Australia, thank god. it’s about the only thing we do build here these days

  7. I like how this guy deverauz makes it seem that GM America had anything to do with designing and building the G8. It was all Holden. Watching videos like this makes me wish GM did go bankrupt. Maybe then Holden would have been able to call the shots and send Americans cars that they really want, not some FWD shit boxes that they build nowadays.

  8. Unfortunately the only thing that lutz the putz did right was lobby to have the GTO and the G8 platforms sent to America. Before that the idiot lutz was a huge proponent of the FWD platform and when he was at Chrysler he was instrumental in the disasterous Diamler Chrysler merger. That many couldnt do anything right when he was at the forefront of anything, he used up all his political capital. When he finally came to his senses it was too little too late.

  9. Get Bob Lutz away from his retirement, and get him to lobby GM for it.The main reason why Holden won’t build it is because of uncertainty about the coupe market. In Australia, coupes aren’t as popular.

Bob Lutz, one time president of GM product placement , was one of the main instigators for the Pontiac G8 getting to America. If the Saudis, the Chinese and Americans all pushed at the same time, maybe….

  10. If only our American car manufacturers took that kind of pride in building cars for America. We wouldn’t have to rely on other countries for good quality cars.

  11. The fact that there are no more G8s coming off of that line makes me a really sad American.

  12. Great promo good to see more. Good to see how my ss sportwagon SII is made and given a soul !!!!

  13. Bring on more of these Promo Vidoes – absolutely essential for Holden Commodore sales.

    mike
