Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins Breaks Mt. Washington Record on BFGoodrich Tires

On Sunday, June 26, 2011, Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins needed only six minutes and 11.54 seconds to finish the famed Mt. Washington Hillclimb — nearly 30 seconds faster than Frank Sprongl’s previous record from 1998. Higgins also beat the unofficial record of 6:20.47 set by Travis Pastrana last year. Higgins did it sans co-driver in his Vermont SportsCar-prepped Subaru WRX STi rally car equipped with BFGoodrich RC01 Rally tires.

  1. i am always astonished by these drivers, that shit on the dirt would scare the crap out of me..

  2. is there a 3d version of this video from the inside i see the 3d go pro setup inside

  3. went up tis road today and trust me u gotta have balls of steel to go that fast it’s incredibly dangerous and fun :D

  4. Lol but travis set his time with a co driver… So without that extra weight he could be faster!

  5. Pretty impressive. I wonder what the time would be if a real rally driver would try this, with a proper rally car.

  6. No co-driver to read navigation notes either: so, not only nerves of ice and great driving skill, but a fantastic memory of every turn along the entire road, too.
