Valentino Rossi: Champion of Monza Rally 2012

Valentino Rossi ran out the winner of the 2012 edition of the Monza Rally Show in a ton of style. Allowing exclusive access into his garage to follow him throughout the weekend, get right inside team VR|46 as The Doctor took control of the Stage Rally right from the first night and held the lead, keeping the likes of Dindo Capello – a massively decorated driver himself – and a ton of other talent at arms length. Valentino set about dismantling the competition again on Sunday afternoon at the climax of the event in the Master Show where he went head to head against Capello again in the final, holding his nerve and completing a massively popular double win in front of a sell-out crowd. Valentino raced a WRC spec Ford Fiesta 1.6 prepared by M-Sport. Music: Black Spiders “What Good’s A Rock Without A Roll” from the album “Sons Of The North” www.theblackspiders.com

  1. What shows who´s the best driver of all time? when the clock strikes the second “quarantasei”, 0:46. The picture says it all.

  2. Avete mai usato il Metabond? Tanti campioni lo usano:

  3. Semplicemente orgoglio nazionale ! Forza Vale! E in bocca al lupo per il 2013!

  4. Valentino is without a doubt the greatest of all time. Lorenzo was not nearly as good as The Doctor on 4 wheels!

  5. God, I live 6 kilometers far from Monza Circuit, but i didn’t know anything about this event. Damn.

  6. That’s one smart dude, looks a little like Christian Bale. I think he’s a little nervous though lol. Great interview.

  7. Anyone know why the new Vette has paddles to enable/disable the rev-matching feature? I don’t understand why they don’t just use a button. Paddles are for shifting a semi-auto, not turning features on and off.

  8. lmfao, thats the stupidest statement I heard all day. Ask anyone “Who has the best engineering?” the say Germans. Ask anyone “Who runs their mouth off all day long acting like a vulnerable school bully?” the say Americans. I worked with one not long ago, he tried to tell me some cop in Chicago pulled a gun on him once and he replied “if you pull a gun on me you’d better be prepared to use it” I kid you not was the most pathetic puffy chested bullshit ever, hahahahahaha!!

  9. wow this nice i have web site about the Car parts

  10. First of all, there are no shots of the Vette itself. All due respect, know that your audience here is pining for car porn, yet all you give us is shots of interviewees. The misleading title of this 2 of 2 series says “Tested”, which implies you actually tested this beast, but according to the content, you did not. Frustrated, I’m going to another car channel instead.

  11. Actually, in this regard, the rest of the industry caught up to Chevy. Delphi invented the magnetorheological damper, for automotive applications, while they were owned by GM. The 2002 Cadillac STS was the first production car to offer it, and the Corvette followed the next year. So, um, you’re wrong. Nice try though!

  12. That is incorrect
The difference with a MR Suspension is you still get a great ride while setting records at Leguna Seca.
It doesn’t just make the car react better in handling. It improves ride and handling simultaneously
No car is this fast and rides this well. None.

  13. The leaf works awesome on the race track. You don’t understand its primary purpose which is anti roll. The only advantage coils have for racing is they are easier to change, adjust, and you can buy all kinds of springs rates. But for cornering ability and lap times for a given spring rate, the leaf is superior due to its making the car lighter, have a lower center of gravity, and lower unsprung weight. GM puts coilovers on the Aveo. They put the expensive leafs on the Corvette for a reason.

  14. WTF are you talking about? GM was the FIRST with magnetic suspension and the Corvette has had it for decades. Its the rest of the world that had to catch up to GM. Please get a fucking clue.

  15. To my experience, American and European cars are both pretty unreliable.. Japanese cars are a cut above both.

  16. hehe, chevy is actually catching up to the rest of the industry with magnetic suspension. its been around quite a bit. its not new ,or that innovative. so chevy is actually raising their bar to be on the same level as other “actually innovative” manufacturers. seems they’re on a good track tho.

  17. yea i agree. im a vw owner, and i can tell you, the parts them self are high quality (suspension, materials, chassis, engine, plastics,,,) but the electronics are usually the biggest culprit with the newer vw’s. its all fine while you have the warranty, but without it, get ready to pay up. luckily, i do my own work on the car, and its quite simple to work on, once you get a few special tools , hehe. aftermarket parts are veryyy nice tho, but realllyy expensive.

  18. the leaf spring works ok, on the street. not so much on the track. the handling capabilities are just higher with a good coilover suspension. i’ve read several interesting articles on this leaf vs coil subject , there was a good one in the corvette magazine a few years ago. all of them say the same thing. the leaf springs only advantages are lightweight, load capacity and taking up less space, but coils are more performance suited and will make the car handle much better. facts are facts.

  19. I agree with some of your argument, German cars might not be as reliable but because they usually have much more technology in them, mechanically they are good but its the tech and electronics that cause problems most of the time. I can bet if the corvette had as much tech in the car it would be more unreliable then the Germans. a friend of mine is a manager in a company where they make parts for American and Euro cars. the parts for German cars are much higher quality & more expensive.

  20. The MR Suspension is a legitimate industry innovation.
Raises the bar for other sports cars

  21. Inexpensive to maintain? They are money pits, if you don’t have deep pockets. And they make it so only dealership mechanics can work on them. You got the German car thing right.
