The Scottish Government has confirmed its continued backing for the prestige Victoria and Albert Museum project in Dundee. In other news: a Dundee man is facing a jail sentence after borrowing a friend’s car and finding half a kilo of heroin behind the seat; a pensioner has escaped unscathed after a fire at his home in Dundee; a violent prisoner who allegedly absconded from Castle Huntly Open Prison has been arrested by police.
