A man’s appeared in court accused of culpable homicide after an alleged hit and run in Fife. Stephen McCann was killed in the early hours of Saturday morning after being struck by a car in the village of Leslie. Alistair Dick appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court charged with culpable homicide and attempting to pervert the course of justice. He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody. In other news; A former Blairgowrie woman, cleared over the murder of her husband in the USA, could face a new “OJ Simpson” style prosecution. Joanna Findlay was convicted of attempted murder as well as felony handgun offences. Gary Trogdon died at the couple’s Maryland home in October 2010. Now Findlay could face a retrial as her husband’s family are set to file a “wrongful death” civil lawsuit. And in sport; Ross Ford will captain Scotland for the Six Nations with Kelly Brown having been ruled out of the Championship through injury. Meanwhile, Steve Shingler met up with the squad at their St Andrews training base this week despite a question mark still hanging over his eligibility to play for Scotland.
