A man accused of murdering a Perthshire pensioner is set for trial after a second court appearance. William Keane is alleged to have attacked 80 year old Jenny Methven with a blunt weapon at her home near Forteviot in February. She was found dead by her son with injuries to her head and body. In other news; A St Andrews University student caught a pigeon with his bare hands and ripped its head off, before telling onlookers he was going to eat it. Jonathon Leslie was later found with the decapitated bird in the footwell of his car after police caught him drink driving in the Fife town and in sport; Dundee United’s Gary Mackay-Steven says his future lies at Tannadice.
