Thousands of job cuts, school closures and service shut-downs are being threatened all over the country in the wake of the Scottish budget. A Royal Marine and his sister have been killed after their sports car crashed on a country road in Aberdeenshire. Police are investigating an explosion in a forest near Loch Lomond. A Dundee grandmother has been spared a five-year jail sentence for keeping a Second World War heirloom gun. In other news, a young north east mum has denied her ex-boyfriend’s claims that she played a shaking game with her baby which could have caused the infant’s death.
