The official trailer for Big Red Camaro: Driving Fast & Taking Chances. The October 2010 Mojave Mile marked the beginning of a partnership between Team Big Red and longtime fan/filmmaker Josh Oliver to create the ultimate Big Red Camaro documentary film. Filming at events throughout 2011 yielded over 160 hours of interviews, insider access, documentary footage, and some of the most incredible shots of Big Red at its finest. Each event proved to be unique as the filmmakers employed tools and tactics typically reserved for big budget action movies, like the Cineflex camera system on an A Star helicopter, massive 1000mm lenses on the ground, over 20 “BR” on-board camera angles, and an airplane flying at 160+ mph to get the viewer never before seen, up-close and in-tight action shots of Big Red at devastating top speeds. Some 15 months have passed since then, and in 2011 Big Red competed in 5 of the biggest events the “Weekend Warrior” motor sports world has to offer: Mojave Mile, The Texas Mile (Goliad), The Spectre Challenge (aka Hwy 341 Virginia City), Vintage Auto’s “Big Bore Bash” at Willow Springs Raceway, and of course, the Grand Daddy of them all… where the Big Red legend began… September, in Ely, NV for the 24th running of The Silver State Classic Challenge. ZR1 Nurburgring Official 7:26.4 Record Corvette Lap!!

With development engineer Jim Mero behind the wheel, the ZR1 paced the Nürburgring in a time of 7:26.4. The engine rpm and the vehicle speed are the actual data taken during this lap. The elapsed time was measured electronically and confirmed with two hand-held stopwatches. The video is continuous and unedited. Watch and listen as the ZR1 tackles the twists and turns of “the Ring” and sets one of the fastest times ever clocked for a production car. Distributed by Tubemogul.

OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they’d play the right note no matter where they were struck.
