How To Replace A Window Run Channel ( 97 Honda Accord) – EricTheCarGuy www.ericthecarguy.com You would normally be doing this if you had an issue with wind noise or a problem with the window going up and down that did not involve the regular/motor assembly. This is pretty much the same procedure for doing a window motor/regulator assembly, there are just a couple of extra steps you take to remove the motor after removing the window. – Click below and Stay Dirty Visit me at EricTheCarGuy.com ericthecarguy.com Visit EricTheCarGuy Forum www.ericthecarguy.com Visit my Facebook Page: www.facebook.com –Stay dirty ETCG Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, it cannot guarantee against unauthorized modifications of this information, or improper use of this information. How to Replace Honda Captive Rotors – EricTheCarGuy

This was a request from a while ago and I’m happy to get to it now. I did a bunch of video on this car (1990 Honda Accord LX) and have lots more to show you in future episodes. Honda captive rotors are a pain to say the least. For the most part you can take them somewhere that is equipped with an on-the-car brake lathe to have them machined when they get warped but in this cast they were too thin and damaged for machining and needed to be replaced. I have to admit that this job does not always go this easy, it usually requires a lot more effort, some pain, and perhaps a little blood to accomplish but I guess it was trying to behave for the camera on this day. Astute views may notice that I switched sides for the video, that’s because I ended up replacing the wheel bearing on the side that I started with and did the disassembly a bit differently as a result, good eye if you spotted that. I’ll be posting more videos from this car in future weeks so keep an eye out if you have one of these that needs some work. While many Americans are familiar with the Accord Sedan, its fair to say not many could point out the Coupe if it passed them on the highway. Thats because the rakish Coupe looks nothing like its sedan counterpart, carved in sleek sheetmetal and hunkered low to the ground, the Accord Coupe could easily be mistaken for a high-priced German or Italian performance coupe. Fortunately for those smitten by the Accords good looks, its price tag is every bit as reasonable as the sedan, leaving consumers with one question, can I live without four doors? Honda Accord and Civic Transmission Fluid Change

I show you how easy it is to change your transmission fluid on a 1997 Honda Accord. This process applies to Civics as well. A special note. Some 90s Civics have a CVT transmission use Honda CVT fluid on them otherwise use ATF Z1 (now ATF DW1) for a non CVT automatic transmission. Honda fluid part numbers: ATF Z1 Part Number: 08200-9001 (Discontinued) Replaced by: ATF DW1 Part Number 08200-9008 CVT Fluid: 08200-9006 Since the production of this video Honda has discontinued ATF-Z1 and replaced it with ATF-DW1 it’s a drop in replacement for vehicles that used ATF Z1. The fluid change interval by Honda is every 30000 miles. Intro and outro music by Kevin Macleod (Incompetech.com).

Replacing Honda Front Struts – EricTheCarGuy

Replacing Honda Front Struts – EricTheCarGuy After posting the last video on replacing struts I thought I would post this one next. I shot this along with the rest of the Accord front end work that I did last fall. A couple of things are different, the most obvious is that the springs are a much smaller diameter so you really need to be careful when you work with these since the spring compressor doesn’t have as much to grab hold of. Second, when you install the struts back on the car care must be taken to get the notch on the strut lined up with the wishbone, if you don’t do this the upper wishbone bolt will not go in since it has to fit in a groove on the back of the strut. For the second time I’ve shown you that I tighten the lower wishbone bolt with the car off of the ground, the fact is I shouldn’t do this since I’m told it may ruin the bushing that goes through the lower control arm. I believe this to be possible but I have not experienced any problems doing it this way. For me it just seems like a pain in the butt to try and reach around the tire after I’ve put the wheel back on. But for those of you that like to point out my faults here is my excuse for not doing it the “right” way. – Click below and Stay Dirty Visit me at EricTheCarGuy.com ericthecarguy.com Visit EricTheCarGuy Forum www.ericthecarguy.com Visit my Facebook Page: www.facebook.com – Be safe andstay dirty ETCG Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, it cannot guarantee against

Every Toyota 22R series engine with the single row timing chain and plastic timing guides (1983~ish – 1995) that I have ever purchased with over 100000 miles on the engine has had a driver’s side guide that was either partially broken or just totally gone. To the untrained ear it sounds a like the valves need adjusting, but in this video I’ll show you how to inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose a broken driver’s side timing guide. It makes a great bargaining chip when you can show the seller that the timing guide is broken and then inform them that it’s an 0+ repair at a shop. If you can fix it on your own it will only run you about 0 in parts and a Saturday’s worth of time.
