Big Red Camaro: Driving Fast & Taking Chances [Official Trailer]

The official trailer for Big Red Camaro: Driving Fast & Taking Chances. The October 2010 Mojave Mile marked the beginning of a partnership between Team Big Red and longtime fan/filmmaker Josh Oliver to create the ultimate Big Red Camaro documentary film. Filming at events throughout 2011 yielded over 160 hours of interviews, insider access, documentary footage, and some of the most incredible shots of Big Red at its finest. Each event proved to be unique as the filmmakers employed tools and tactics typically reserved for big budget action movies, like the Cineflex camera system on an A Star helicopter, massive 1000mm lenses on the ground, over 20 “BR” on-board camera angles, and an airplane flying at 160+ mph to get the viewer never before seen, up-close and in-tight action shots of Big Red at devastating top speeds. Some 15 months have passed since then, and in 2011 Big Red competed in 5 of the biggest events the “Weekend Warrior” motor sports world has to offer: Mojave Mile, The Texas Mile (Goliad), The Spectre Challenge (aka Hwy 341 Virginia City), Vintage Auto’s “Big Bore Bash” at Willow Springs Raceway, and of course, the Grand Daddy of them all… where the Big Red legend began… September, in Ely, NV for the 24th running of The Silver State Classic Challenge. After many months and a lot of hard work, we are proud to bring you the first trailer for the documentary. Stay tuned for more videos, clips, and coming soon, the full-length historical documentary. The BMW X5 is a luxury crossover SUV introduced in 1999 as the first generation E53. It was BMW’s first SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) also known as “Four-by-Four” (4×4) in the UK. It features all-wheel drive which is branded as the “X” drive system and is available with either manual or automatic transmission. The second generation X5, known as the E70, was launched in 2006, with the first M version announced in 2009. BMW describes the X5 as a Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV) rather than an SUV, to emphasize its on-road ability despite its size. Like the Lexus RX 300 and Mercedes M-Class, the X5 heralded the shift from light truck-based body-on-frame SUVs to crossovers underpinned by unibody car platforms that would come to fruition in the late 2000s. X5s are manufactured in Greer, South Carolina at the Spartanburg BMW plant and in Mexico at the BMW de México Toluca plant.[1] Since July 2009, some assembly operations are also performed in Kaliningrad, Russia by Avtotor. In 2003, BMW launched the smaller X3, which uses the “X” prefix for the 4 wheel drive system or BMW “X” drive system and the BMW SAVs which were derivatives of the BMW number-series models. On August 31 2011 the fuel filter heater of 2120 units, was recalled due to a defect that can cause fire and battery drainage, even while the vehicle is non operational[2]
