Classic Toy Room – SHINOBI LOTUS ESPRIT Hot Wheels review
miss the evo 9
Had a sti version 8 (jdm), was cool, then an evo 7, was missing something for me, now I drive a sti version 5 type R, and it’s an animal. No abs, bugger all electronic stuff, just how it should be. Forget the new shape evo and sti’s, the old ones are where it’s at.
the Evo VII was the best.
I liked Evo V to X.
this shit it bias, evo’s have better tires, and both test are in the rain, where its obvious that the evo’s technical capabilities are more at play. most all the drivers refer to the test as more of a battle with tires. somebody needs to actually give both these cars credit and put up a real test not just acceleration and a 5 track laps in the rain.
still the evo 8 was better looking
check price differences
In Singapore, I can only dream of myself owning and driving an Evo. I don’t think I can really get to own one by the time I can afford one. As by then, this car should be more or less obsolete and will be all scraped in the scrapyard already.
(From previous…)
The current COE for the 1.6L< category is about S$85K. This value fluctuates all the time, but it seems to be always increasing over time. This means if I were to buy that Evo IX GT now at S$70K + S$10K, I’d still need to pay for its new COE in 2016.
That’s why owning a car like an EVO in Singapore is already quite of a big deal. In-fact, its already quite of a big deal to fully own a car (out of individual’s ability) in Singapore before the age of 30.
I’m always envious of you people from Japan, USA and UK. You guys can get nice cars at reasonable prices.
In Singapore, even the fact of getting a car is very difficult! We have to always pay this sickening amount of money for our Certificate of Entitlement (COE) on top of the price of the car.
For example, a used Evo IX GT from 2006 may cost about S$70K and the COE is about S$10K.
COE last for only 10 years, so this means the COE needs to be renewed after another 4 years from now. (TBC…)
I like the Evo 9
but we all know the real king is the mighty GT-R
evo FTW
haha sti got raped evos for life
im 15 and i love to drive evan if it with a adult
phucking commercialzzzzzzz………
To be honest the racing scene in America is better. The only thing is people just tend to race in straight lines there, I’m okay with that and I do it myself, but it gets boring after a while.
It’s worse in the UK. You got GT-Rs and Porsches, racing on the same streets as Vauxhall Corsas and Fiat Puntos.
EVO IX RS Rulezzzzz
Imprezas have Symmetrical AWD and Boxer engines which make them balanced and easy to drive. But, yeah the driver is in more control of the Impreza rather than leaving it to electronics. For me fun is going around bends so fast that it scares the life out of you, I’m sure both the Evo and Impreza can achieve this, so I would call them both fun cars. You can’t win an argument with those clueless kids on here who have driven and raced almost every single sports car available to man lol.
I wouldn’t really say the Impreza requires skill. AWD and a well sorted chassis make hitting the bends very easy, also the Impreza is naturally setup to understeer, there’s no fun in that. Good car, but if you want to test your skills and have fun I’m guessing something like a Supra or a Vette is better.
The Evo won’t?
People buy these cars because they’re made to go fast, if the Evos electronic systems are going to help it go faster, I don’t think anybody should complain.
that’s right
I totally agree with you
my favorite evos were from 1-9
