Lol, Ford Exploders suck off road.
I have a feeling the traction control wasn’t turned off on the Explorer, as the wheels weren’t even spinning while the gas was “floored”. The traction control was probably cutting power in order to keep the wheels from spinning. Turn the traction control off and it probably would have made it up the hill with less trouble than the Venza.

Part of me wants to ask how aggressively these cars were driven up this hill; a heavy right foot can make all the difference. I submit all the times my crazy Maine-Raised Mom made our STEEP driveway in the snow-covered ice of Massachusetts, foot on the floor the whole way up.
i heard this rx8 in person at the round 3 FD comp at wall nj. it was nasty. period. theres no other way to describe the sound other than: an incredably loud and ear wretching combination of a squeezed out death fart from god, ripping paper from the hands of chuck norris, and an indy car from fricken hell. it almost hurt to listen to it. genius who ever designed the 4 rotor wenkel.
