  1. One weekend I will never forget, had a blast hard to believe it’s been 20 years I met most all the driver’s even though they where busy fixing unheard of repairs they still took time to say hello!!! Thumbs up to all, R.I.P. to the one’s not with us they are probably racing faster than ever keeping an eye on the rest. Can’t wait untill I can attend again.

  2. Daaamm!the good ol days.thats when everybody had money to build a car.ive been down for years, maybe somday get the 89 stang goin again

  3. having a twin turbo mustang was like having a spaceship in 1992,totally alien technology.

  4. This race is the reason he sold the car and built the “Evil Twin”…. He didn’t like the losing ha ha. So I think it was in 94′ we kicked ass. I wonder who owns that car now. He sold it to Tony Christian eventually. Not sure where it’s at now. The last I heard of the 57 in this clip Danchuk had it.

  5. the 1st fastest street car race , and with real cars . not pro/mods or pro/stocks with 10.5 tires .

  6. HAHA the crappy cameras from back then make these fast ass cars blurry! Now we could slow it down so much you could see a bug smash into the window.

  7. Randy Lambert is back, bigger than ever with a huge new motor. To see his car click on GrumpyAssRacing to view this MEAN MACHINE!!

  8. Randy Lambert from Crown Point, Indiana. Friend of my brother. That car makes the ground shake! You feel it before he gets to your house! AWESOME Impala. It IS a true street car. Just not exactly legal with open headers and slicks. LOL!

  9. I STILL HAVE THESE VIDS ON VHS AND I STILL WATCH THEM NOW I DRAG RACE RC CARS

  10. I love when the guy says swirling vortex of power, pretty funny, for then..love the older cars so fun, to just look at, unlike new cars

  11. i remember this like yesterday, this is what got stoned into street cars. i never want a car i can’t drive on the street

  12. wow. i was reading about your pops every month in HOT ROD back then!!

your dad is a racing treasure..

  13. Most of those were street cars!
Go to an outlaw 10.5 race now and they are promods with smaller tires.
    Nothing street about them.
I was running a race back in 1996 in my camaro and was driving to the track and back home. 30 miles one way.
I ran 6:21 at 111 with mufflers in the eighth mile.
    I drive it everywhere.
These so called street legal cars at the track today won’t run 2 miles before they overheat or break a valve spring.

  14. I am the original owner / builder of the “Infamous Black Trans AM”. I street drove and raced that car all over the Northeast tracks. for many years. Long Island Dragway, Englishtown, Atco, Maple Grove. Street race in Deer Park Long Island and Connecting Highways in Brooklyn. I miss those days and that car. It was way before it’s time and really represented what a true ProStreet car was. Stock front frame, 2×3 4 link back 3200lbs 8sec et’s.
