Which car do you guys feel would be the best purchase out of the three? In terms of reliability and the cheapest to maintain and such things. 2001-05 Honda Civic sedan, 2003-08 Toyota Corolla, or the 1998-02 Honda Accord sedan.

Donate your car? How about loosing the tax credit when you don’t trade your car in ? If you think for a second that your own bank is going to give you the best rate your crazy. They will hold points too. A dealer will get you the best rate 9 out of 10 times. That 1 time they won’t,is when your credit sucks and no one besides a credit union will buy your deal. I have sold more cars in one day than this guy has bought in his life.
I agree with tools907. He is showing u how not to buy a car. Yes stick with your guns, go to the local dealer. Tell them if u make me the right deal I will leave right now with car and make them reach your numbers or leave. Just do a little research first of what you want to pay for the vehicle. I found my mom a certified 2010 Camry for 15k ( w/30k miles) which was originally 21k. Thats a deal leave with the car, don’t be stupid.

You do not realize how game theory works. Even if a dealer sells a car for below invoice, they will still make a profit from sales incentives. The dealer will WANT to sell you a car, if only to fill an end-period quota, and the price WILL be better if he is in competition with other dealers. You also do not realize that walking away is by far the best negotiation technique in any situation (and I mean it, it is the most effective one there is).
Yall don’t listen to this guy. He is a tool. Look if you want to get a good deal just go get one. There is no hidden trick to buying a car truck ect. All you do when you go test drive then leave and got to buy then leave, you WAIST A SALES MAN’S TIME. Time that they could be selling a car to a real person. Not jacking with some ass hole that wants to keep the COMMITIONED sales person from feeding there babies. Don’t be afraid to go out and buy a car. If your watching this you are a bigger tool!!

Has the seller of a car moved and you have yet to transfer the title? In the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, it takes a Court Order to affect the Involuntary Transfer of a Motor Vehicle Title. A York Mobile Notary can help you establish and maintain a good Administrative record to effect the transfer.
I’d pay him $100+ to have him go through the process of purchasing a car for me.
All this to save a few 100 dollars even a 1000.00 Think about all the great service you will get if you have to come back to that store. I don’t think people really have 2 weeks to do all this when they really want a car. Nobody says a word when somebody makes a 100% profit on jewelry or furniture. But let a car dealer make a profit and they might as well have killed somebody. Get a life.

I’ve bought 3 cars through Craigslist ads. The most recent one was out of desperation (car wrecked, needed vehicle immediately…long story) and I was so excited the $800 dollar junker did car stuff that I did not read the title after the seller signed it. I looked at it beforehand: 1989 Grand Marquis, everything good. I go the DMV the next day to register the thing, and I had the title to a 1963 Corvette. Call the guy up, point out mistake, and everything is sorted.
Basically, this same exact thing happened to me. I know your pain. I still get frustrated over it haha

My husband decided to purchase a 1998 mitsubishi Diamante. He brings it home and I decide to inspect it. I found 30 some random wires coming from the engine, 15 under the steering column, 25 attached the trunk lid, black spray paint covering the ceiling and leather seats, and the so called body kit was spray painted card board. I’ll never let him buy another car again.
all the cars we’ve bought during our 8.5 year married life have been from Craigslist and I don’t see that changing any time soon =)
