In today’s NTD China News, a US Congressional report on the security risks of Huawei and ZTE has been meet with opposition by Chinese media. The House Intelligence Committee report on Huawei and ZTE has cited employees from Huawei saying the company engages in visa fraud and job discrimination in its US offices. He Guoqiang, the head of the Chinese Communist Party’s Central Commission for Discipline Inspection has used Bo Xilai, the disgraced Chongqing Party secretary, as a warning against corrupt officials. The US and Philippines have carried out joint military exercises today, and insist they are not aimed at China. Japanese car sales have plummeted in China following the Diaoyu/Senkaku islands dispute. The International Monetary Fund has cut its 2012 growth forecast for the Chinese economy. New immigration laws governing Chinese citizens living abroad have raised concerns they could place undue restrictions on those wanting to return to China.
