With development engineer Jim Mero behind the wheel, the ZR1 paced the Nürburgring in a time of 7:26.4. The engine rpm and the vehicle speed are the actual data taken during this lap. The elapsed time was measured electronically and confirmed with two hand-held stopwatches. The video is continuous and unedited. Nutter! he got air a couple of times
They use the factory tires when they run the Ring for time. There is another vidieo that talks a little more about it. They actualy say they have to add some safety stuff so the car is heavier then what the public gets. The vidieo is from the newer ZR1 but I would imagine they did the same in 08. Just look up what the 2008 ZR1 came with from the factory for tires. With out looking it up, I want to say the 08 came with Perelli’s.
This is in MPH. If you dont think the car can handle the way it does, you need to learn how to drive.

Yes because you have to look at it everyday. I would rather own something pleasing to the senses since you can’t sit on the outside of your car. Unless it’s not your daily car, maybe it’s not quite as important.

Of course Ferrari’s, Lambo’s, GTR’s and Audi’s have a more luxurious interior than the ZR1. It’s something nice the manufacturers do so the owners of the fine automobiles have a pleasant place to sit while waiting for the tow truck. Also their beautifully appointed dash boards are a swell place for their owners to rest their heads in shame after being spanked by a ZR1.
