If there was a technical issue, then that’s out of their control. If they decided to not cut it intentionally, then that was a dick move. It was noble of them to apologize I will say that. My thoughts are they shouldn’t hold the entire blame for that incident like some people are bashing them for just because Fox has a bad reputation. I think this will be a step in which they stop doing live footage of certain things like car chases personally.
I’m still saying it is Fox’s fault for airing the clip (whether technical or human, I don’t know) because they should have cut it off since they have a 7 seconds (AUS standard, not sure about US minimum time) delay for all live recordings so the people in the studio can stop footage being aired.
They may have not anticipated it, but they should have saw it.

It is shocking that he shot himself I agree, but like I said, they aired this live. Meaning if you watched it on the news, it was happening in real time and it was not something that they previously filmed and played over and over again.
