MAZDAs in the 1990s, were and, in some cases, still are easily among the best looking cars to ever go to market period. If you think MAZDA’s look awful now, that wasn’t Matano. In fact, MAZDA has gone through at least two head designers in the last 10+ years. Every time they go through a major design language change, new head of design.

being a car designer is not about being able to smack out nice drawings you have artists for that, designers are there to create new ideas/products the sketch is merely a communication tool to show their vision
