After the success of the first American Touge, (go to gtchannel.com for more car videos and content) we conducted an open casting call for US tuner cars to appear in the sequel AT2 to be tested and driven to the limits touge style by Keiichi “Drift King” Tsuchiya and his sidekick Yasuyuki Kazama. 33 cars divided into 4 different classes were chosen to battle it out to challenge last year’s “Touge Monster”, Comptech NSX. Hotties Kazumi Kondo and Verena Mei co-host the show. Cars were divided into NA RWD, Turbo RWD, FR and AWD classes. Promising contenders from the first American Touge such as Hasport, Top Setup, Techno Toy Tuning, Vishnu and XS Engineering were there to avenge the Touge Monster title. Cars from grade A tuners such as the Mullerized EVO and AEM Civic Si were newly chosen along with several privateers with hopes they may have some surprises.

I never knew why they used Kazama for these race battles… he caves under pressure a lot and makes many mistakes, even though he isn’t a bad racer he is a better drifter and he creates an imbalance in the car comparisons.

as an ///M fan and e36 M3 owner, its too bad the M3 didn’t make it in to the final bracket, but i do understand the issues with he car. e36 M3s are great cars, but at +/- 15 years old and about 240 hp stock, the cars could use a little extra muscle under the hood. they’re great cars, easy to drive, good entry-level vehicle. but against these newer FI beasts, the M3 is gonna lose.

I doubt bisimoto builds cars for touge purposes. And why would tsuchiya piss his pants? that man has been in every car imagineable and we ALL know he DOMINATES!
