  1. Whoa whoa whoa–Did I just see a Motocompo successor? Don’t make it electric, Honda!

  2. the new gtr is a fat cow compared to other japanese sport cars lol, i guess as long as i cant feel the weight of the car i don’t mind the weight.

  3. The Challenger? It drives like a well made big car. Kinda’ like how American big cars would drive if DETROIT kept working on them. Of course, they would know how to make a big a car not so hefty if they had been working on them all this time.

As for a “fat cow”, a cow looks like a cow and a car looks like a car. Saying a car is a “fat cow” is just talking smack. The Challenger is a big car. That’s all I see.

  4. It only seems lazy as you are used to new Consumer electronics stuff every 6 months to a year. Cars take much longer, need more work and preparation, and cost more to do right if at all. More power and retuning the suspension (which sounds a LOT like the GT-R and most cars) is really all a company can do in the short term. Even if CHRYSLER is working on a new better car, FIAT won’t let them talk about it until it’s ready.

  5. less weight means better acceleration, handling, cornering, braking and fuel economy.

  6. I know what you mean but I meant how they made limit editions and modified versions like the 575 but all they did was increase horsepower and tune suspension, i mean it just seems so lazy.

  7. The Honda Electric Sport Concept looks good, but will Honda ever resurrect the S2000? It seems that a lot of manufacturers are getting more focused on electric cars and leaving those that like sports cars in the cold.

  8. i like the way the thing looks but its a fat cow but maybe u cant feel the weight wen u drive it have u driven one yet?

  9. You say that as if they have limitless money and time to develop a new platform. They don’t. I want to see a lighter platform for these cars myself, but that’s not happening just yet. Besides, in case you haven’t noticed, even among European and Asian cars, Special editions sell big numbers.

  10. The GT-R is heavily Carbon Fiber and about the size of the Mustang. Chrysler has to use the same “LY” platform and it was not designed as a light weight performance car. They couldn’t even get the Challenger down to the size of the original, somewhere between the size of the Current Mustang and Camaro, on that platform. The 1999 Charger Concept, which sized a RWD-revised LH-platform was the preferred direction before Daimler took over.

  11. CHRYSLER never expected the Charger and/or Challenger to ever be as popular as the Mustang or Camaro. Much like their RAM trucks, they are a solid 3rd place. Also don’t expect anything to be done about the weight without a new platform and FIAT is putting more money on other models. Of course, DODGE would love to build a Challenger closer their competitors but given factors like brand loyalty, being “lighter” may not change those cars’ fortunes anyway.

  12. agree, and this is how they wanna do something about environmental problems, while making this cars unaccesible to simple people. that just doesn’t make sens.

  13. i can see all american cars just changes color and put some more pony nothing more than that ……i thing the should make them light and less power full it would be better .. i dont need 470hv when my cars weights more that 2 ton .. i might like to have 250hv if my car weight 1100 kg or 1300kg that way less full more fun

  14. sounded like he said a “heated steering wheel with paddle shifters. Gay.”

  15. yea i’m trying to understand why the challanger weights so much the gtr is lighter

  16. Great more amazing concepts that wont hit production. Dodge is too lazy to address the challengers weight issue. Instead they just pack on the power and expect that to make it more popular than the Camaro/Mustang. The Dodge Charger is now a better choice than the Challenge and that just makes me sad.
