You still don’t know what your talking about, weight distrobution only affects handling not efficiency, weight is the enemy for efficiency. People buy Preludes, integras and RSX and race them in lemans, golfs?None. they handle like a brick with all the weight rammed up the front. I wont buy another. I never said BUY A HYBRID… You can buy a better car… the golf was built with INTERIOR space in mind, THATS WHY THE ENGINE IS SO FAR FORWARD. Oh yeah, theres no room to work under the hood either

The CRZ has better weight distribution, and In all competing Hondas, it is just a little bit better because there is less german plastic garbage weighing it down. The engine isnt rammed up against the raidiator like Volkswagen either, pop your hood, can you fit your head between the raidiator fan and the engine like a NORMAL car? PFFFt GOOD LUCK WITH THAT LOL. I’ve owned both brands. Honda makes better cars, period.
Um I owned a mk4 tdi and now a mk6 gti and my gti will run rings around a new muscle car in the corners. Hondas are for Asians who are cheap and dont care about what they drive. And my uncles 2011 jetta tdi can beat that crz to 60 easily.

the CR-Z is more modern, lighter, and is actually more economical for long distance travel. On the other hand, the Golf has a lower manufacturing footprint because it has no batteries or electric motor, just a pure diesel engine.
I prefer pure drivetrains when I buy a car, so I wouldn’t get the CR-Z. I’d get the Fit or the Golf.

If anybody’s curious, for 2014 the Hybrid CRZ should get an “Earth Dreams” engine, which part-time acts as an Atkinson cycle engine like the Prius + Direct Injection, and traditional OTTO cycle when you want power. So a good boost in MPG.
The 2013+ CRZ models will get a “Sport+” mode, where the electric motor can be overdriven for a brief period of time.

The VW Golf TDI is far better daily driver than the Honda. The TDI is far more refined, more practical, quieter, and gets better economy once broken in. Honda does win for their reliablity track record and dealer experience though. Still any car guy looking for an economy car wouldn’t look any further than the TDI. VW, we average income car guys priase you for your wonderful MK6 GTI, Jetta GLI and Golf TDI!

this test is flawed…you cant go by the mpg estimator on the dash…my lexus sc400 (v8) has one…says i get 24mpg…i get closer to 17mpg….theres reports on the vw getting over 50mpg….plus the vw doesnt lack in power…iv test drove it and was very impressed with the low down power…in the honda youll have to be carefull pulling out on the free way and even on side roads
Honda for Life, just not this one. STill, would take it over a VW, way too many problems and as they age, they sound like crap. Go with Honda if you want good resale value.

Hondas may be more reliable than VWs, but Hondas as of late are also extremely reliable at disappointing you everytime you drive them. VWs are just so much nicer to drive and be in.
I would make one exception, the Honda Fit is good for the segment.
