  1. It was cool too see but sucked balls for hooking up, my dad had #352 it was the first car i ever drove, we never drove it much but made a bunch of passes with it after some tweeks, even on a tire the fucker would never hook.

  2. I just bought a copy of that Car and driver a couple years back. Car and Driver issue July 1985, and the car was new. I also went to a car show I saw grand nationals and ereGNXs. Funny hing they were all owned from older guys that bought the car for $17 grand back in the day. It just made my heart drop when I saw those cars. I wish I had money, these cars ain’t cheap and the GNX only lasted one year. The oth

  3. I sure wish time machines were real so I can and buy myself one of these new.

  4. N2ocomet- They used the 200r4 transmission, which everyone knows is garbage. Lol.

  5. #1 the Syclone and Typhoon had 4.3 V6, not the same as the GN. #2 The reason the rear end lifted was because the GNX came with a ladder bar on it. Mounted to the rear differential, and another point just behind the transmission, this kept the rear end from rotating under torque load, and since it couldnt rotate, it lifted. Such a site to see.

  6. Im not really the kind of guy to do burn outs with these Grand Nationals. I know everybody does for fun but I rather play it safe so I wont have to buy new tires from burning my trend down.

  7. @grandcreator11 I’m not sure what it was that caused the car to raise up like it does right before it took off, but I had the pleasure of seeing one let loose at the light one time and the way the back raises right before take off is just a fucking joy to see lol

  8. EL Negro Auto

Wonder if Jay Leno owns one of these?
For something to be that fast in the 80′s, only a V6…. that’s crazy

  9. didnt that car have an axel in the back that allowed the car to raise up in the rear right before it pealed off?

  10. FYI, the 3.8 Turbo was NOT in the Syclone and Typhoon, they had the 4.3 Turbo AWD setup.

  11. Then apparently you dont know how to drive it. My almost bone stock Grand National is as fast or faster than a LS1 Camaro/Trans Am or a Mustang.

  12. My life would be complete if I owned one of the 547 GNX’s made. You simply cannot beat that motor. It’s fucking awesome!

  13. No need to hate kid. Btw having an automatic makes no diffrence. It only bothers you becuase you wouldn’t be able to rev your engine and roll back and forth at stop lights lol.

  14. plus its automatic which makes it even funnier that it was a “show” car

  15. all the shits from advanced auto if not walmart bahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha nice try tho

  16. @RENZOKUKEN555 nahh, the guy who put my body kit on did. He made them out of fiber glass.

  17. @RENZOKUKEN555 If a cop were to ever give you a ticket for some badass speakers then he has no life lol. I never had a problem with cops not allowing them. Besides what are they going to do, pull you over and check if you have speaker by you feet?

  18. tailights around 180 i think. Vinnel decal on the side was around 100 i think. idk how much the custom speakers cost but its not something you can buy. sway bar was around 150, new headlight bulbs were 30, blinker light covers were 5 bucks. locking lug nut are pricy but idk how much. dual exhaust idk the price but you can find it on the internet. guages were under 100 i think.

  19. @RENZOKUKEN555 T.I. – Yeah you Know. I bought it from my dads friend with most of the stuff on it. The kit runs about 500 i think ( the are a peice of shit and will break EXTREMELY EASILY.) cost 500 to put the kit on. Thats from a friend of mine who is much cheaper that everyone else too. Your talkin around a 1000 for someone else to put the kid on. They havve to reshape it to fit your car, paint it, put it on, add the grill ect. Rims were 900 new, plus 85 per tire.
