Subaru does not make NA engines or RWD cars, idk why they chose them to design the power train.
Honda would have been the logical choice. At minimum they could have put the beams 3sge engine and kept it all Toyota.
Subaru ruined what could have been a phenomenal car. This car will never replace the ae86 in my mind because of the terrible engine. It produces low power and it sounds terrible!
A rear wheel drive k20 would have been epic! Better than the original!

If they decided to really revive the 86, they should’ve done the same front engine inline four. And with new technology, they could’ve easily spun the engine up to 10,000 rpms. If you want revs, go with honda. Put the honda into a toyota. K20 ae86. It beats the f20c ae86.

That’s because they’re used to RBs, JZs, and F20Cs EVERYWHERE. lol.
Different suspension geometries, weights(+weight distribution), different unsprung weights, different rim/tire weights, the “helix density” of the springs, the strut damping force, ect ect ect.
All of these things play into the total suspension package.

it’s not the same dude.Rx7 F&R 18kg while Supra’s F 16 & R14kg.That’s not the same Dude + consider the Supra is way more heavier (+ 220kg)
This questions me. When Tsuchiya said the suspension that the suspension was too soft on the Supra, I looked at the KGF (Kilogram-Force) on the springs and they looked similar to the numbers on the RX7, as in set a bit stiff. If the Supra is almost as stiff as the RX7, how can tsuchiya say that the suspension is too soft on the Supra.
P.S. Sorry, I’m still figuring out and learning these things. :/
