Hope you like it. We will return to the usual length videos for our next review. Until now, Mercedes hasn’t offered a rival to premium hatchbacks like the BMW 1 Series, Audi A3 or VW Golf. The handsome new A-Class changes that, aiming to attract younger buyers to the brand. Featuring a much lower roofline and detailed creases on its side, the car looks much sportier. It’s available with a range of engines, including a diesel that emits less than 100g/km – the first Mercedes to do so. A hot 208bhp 2.0-litre turbo A250 is also planned. Prices are competitive with the car’s A3 and 1 Series rivals.

Alfa is way better for less cost
the alfa is crap compared to both… and i dont even like the styling, and the 1 series is not the same car at all.. it’s a brand new model actually, the exterior is kind of questionable but actually looks good in real life – interior? no competition – miles ahead of this merc with its’ weird round shapes everywhere… but it’s all a matter of taste i suppose
i think they decided that people do it anyways on their smartphones and implemented it in a slightly safer way…
I still rather a no frill ride. The things ppl want to do while driving is ridiculous!

Anyone know of any uk websites with customer reviews and the like? I’ve been interested in this car for a while now, but I like to see what actual drivers are reporting in terms of long term reliability. I live in the states so it’d be nice to see some reviews by actual owners, and since it hasn’t launched here yet I could use some help.

its simple, you either go with the unique head turner (Merc) or the same old 1 series which came out 9 years ago.
really really tempted to get one, that or the 1 series newer version, stuck on this one!

Exactly my problem with the most recent Mercs… I get that they’re catering for a younger audience (or trying to) but iPhone connectivity and red-stitching, a good car does not make… Also, gone are the old A-class’ practicality. Pointless really; it’s like an ugly, front-wheel drive C class… Sad.

I evaluate a car based on how it performs and looks straight from the factory. When you look at the S15 under those guidelines its the #1 Japanese sport car in my opinion. Lightweight,RWD,FR layout,aggressive front end,awesome headlight styling, lightweight and powerful motor,legendary chassis,jet black interior,a drifters #1 choice. Some will argue the Skyline GTR or Supra are better but those assessments are based on turbo tuning.S-Chassis rules
