  1. I sure wish the automakers would stop using that damned shiny black trip plastic!

  2. CR always seems biased against American. Escape has been on the market 12 long years. Of course the new Corolla is fantastic (although its is way out of date compared to the competition)

  3. WHY DO I WANT TO PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE FOR NOT PUTTING A QUESTION MARK AT THE END OF YOUR QUESTION ?

  4. This guy belongs on an antique show…soooo drabbbbb.

And the foot sensor trunk gadget? You better run out of the way before it crunches you. Not the best execution.

  5. Went to look at a new Escape. Colour choice not good and they pulled a MB/BMW and charge extra for some colours. The dealer must have had 50 in stock…49 with black interior. Some were black exterior too…a sea of black. Must have an Amish fellow that does all the ordering for inventory. That silver skid plate at the rear stands out like a sore thumb

  6. It has an AWD system that you can add. Just as capable as the Subaru provided it has enough ground clearance.

  7. RR borrowed Ford’s engine and chassis for the Evoque. God knows what else they’ve shared considering they’re partners. Good news in all of this it is a Ford engine so it won’t be breaking down!

  8. Comes from the Kuga platform in Europe people… they rebadge it in the US to Escape.

  9. You keep making the same wrong comment on multiple videos. Go drive one. The interior is MUCH better than its competition (RAV4 and CRV). Hollowness? My ass. Cramped up front? Only if you are fat. I am over 6 foot, and the front is spacious, plenty of head room.
The only way I can understand your “cramped” comment is if you are very, very fat. Are you?
I shopped CRV, RAV4 and the car I have chosen is a 2.0 SEL Escape. By far the best quality and driving experience.

  10. You can’t base everything on looks. The interior quality is cheap. Knock on the plastics inside and hear the hollowness and cheapness. The center console eliminates a lot of side to side room in the front making it cramped, for a crossover/SUV, which should at least offer you some more room, not less room than a passenger car.

  11. While the new platform, engines and transmissions are all worthy upgrades, the car-like styling inside and out ruins the new Escape for me. I know it’s a crossover and not a true SUV, but it should still look the part.
