Would it be the same for the rear windows?
what is the paper barrier for?
Thanks for these videos man
Very good!
Hi Eric, I’m having some trouble finding the silicone PASTE (is it actually called paste when you buy it at a store?). I was able to find silicone lube that comes in an aerosol can. Will this do the trick or is the paste needed.

WOW!!! First of all i didnt have any idea what a run channel was. second of all i decided to watch it for fun. third of all u SUGGESTED SILICONE. and u just made me a hero today!
A problem i had with my car since i first bought it: Passenger window wouldnt go up all the way unless i physically push it up while i push the button. PITA. well anyway i just picked up some silicon spray from walmart- $2.50 …and BAM! worked. went up 4 times and it never went up on its own! THANKS A MILLION!
man you just saved me hourss of work thanks man
this was very helpful, thanks for putting this video up.
I think i need to do this . I have a 97 coupe and my passenger side acts up… my question is how do you know if its your window motor or not?
My first question is: Do I have to take the glass out in order to replace the rubber channel or is it possible to do the entire thing with the glass not removed(04 Toyota Corolla)? My second question is: Is it necessary to use adhesive for the job?
Thanks in advance.
Check O’Reillys. They carry it where I’m at
WHAT THE RUBBER CALL?
VASELINE also works great … if you dont have silicone paste …
SILICONE SPRAY does miracles … just spray it it will work for long time.
Id really appreciate it if you could get back to me :/
Thanks for the video. I need to replace this on a corolla, but I am sure the concept is pretty much the same.
Can I use the silicon spray on the inside of the run channel? I cant find silicon paste at my walmart or autozone. :[
Pretty sure you just saved me a ton of time and trouble! Nice tip with the paper in the socket trick too!
