  1. Can’t find anything (videos) on 1999 Altima , is fuel pump located under backseat like the maxima?

  2. Hey this vid is great !
I wonder what was the failure, mine sometimes cranks up and sometimes is not till 6 or so hours later with full tank , I’m thinking in replace it.
    Please any advice

  3. Sounds like it was from some extra pressure in the tank and lines. Thats normal.

  4. I’ll try on my 97 Maxima, need new fuel pump and follow your instructions, let you know how i did…..

  5. Thank you so much for your work. My mechanic told me last week that it would be $660 to replace my 97 Altima fuel pump. I went to the junkyard and got one for $45 and put it in myself using your video and a couple others, and a blog site. I just started the car and it works perfectly. You did a great job showing all the details step by step. Thanks.

  6. Thank you for both of your instructions. They seem very precise. I’m actually going to try this on my daughter’s car

  7. Good step by step instructions. May need to replace pump for 93 corolla and this gives me an idea on how to go about it. Nice video. Thx.

  8. Great Video. I hope someone can answer this question for me quickly. I need to fix someone’s 2000 maxima (fuel pump), and am wondering if it’s basically the same thing as this? I don’t know if the placement is the same, or do you have to get under and drop the tank like on a lot of cars? I’d appreciate it very much if someone could let mek now soon. Thanks….and again…great video.

  9. Hey! I will try this on my 90′ …
it stalls and lags to go into gear it jerks
it will turn off on stop signs unless I put it in neutral and
keep revving it wont turn off
so I just drive like that on the street, feels like I’m driving manual
do you or anyone think that my problem is the fuel pump??
also car smells like raw gas.. -____-

  10. this is like the easiest fuel injected vehicle/ fuel pump replacement in the world he did’nt even have to drop the tank, my cousin’s 1996 infiniti I30 is like this, well there basically the same car

  11. Thanks so much to whomever made this! I changed my fuel pump today using these instructions and it worked perfect. I know it seems easy to you guys but I had never done it before. Thanks again!
