how did Jerry Rice come into this convo, this is about Steve Smith and T.O. Owens is a clown because he wants to win or because of his celebrations? and what makes Ochocinco a clown? He’s an entertainer, he loves the attention so he has a lot of touchdown celebrations. Why isn’t Steve Smith a clown, compared to these guys?
Pound for pound, he’s one of the toughest players I’ve seen.
That’s why I’ve always loved having Smith on the Panthers. He may not be the best overall receiver in the game, but you don’t get that drama you would get with T.O. or Ocho or even Moss. Yeah ocassionally he clocks a teammate lol but those guys aren’t on the team anymore either. What does that tell ya?

You’re not constructively criticizing someone if you’re saying that they aren’t anything. Wes Welker is one of the best wide recievers in the NFL. No question.
Steve Smith was asked if he worried about his public image and he said yes. Regardless of whether you are one of the greatest receivers of all time, players like Ochocinco and TO are clowns. Steve Smith’s antics don’t compare to TO’s. There is a huge difference between TO and Jerry Rice. Both two of the greatest receivers, but HUGE differences in personality. Jerry Rice will always be considered a role model. TO, not so much.
