Haha! MX-5 behind it’s big brother
And were planning on entering the Group B era, but finished the car late
Can we get more upcoming footage of the 2wd class please.
Unfair in what way? I’m not sure about the rules for 2wd in GRC, but since he’s competing the car complies with the rules. That means that the others, apart from the mazda, haven’t really figured out that with 2wd and high power engines on reasonably good traction (ie not flooded) you want RWD and lots of weight in the back.
wankel is good. he was 2nd to the porsche
interesting to see an RX-8 they have very little torque
It seems like it is, as it won first place…
that guy was a disgrace to the Rx7 OP! nvm its an Rx8
that guy was a disgrace to the Rx7
yep. your history will say porsche rallied alot in the 60s and 70s. even with the 356.
how much power do the mazda have
only one hater.
why. porsche has rallied for yrs.
that wankel sounds so nice.
economical no. fast yes.
GO MJ GO!
B16, not 16b… Porsche is a different but still a good car for 2wd rally, if you going to build a race car, why not start with a fast car.
Nice vid. Its just too bad there wasn’t better coverage of the 2wd class at this event.
i would say so considering i dont watch rally, dont mean that in a smart way either. What i meant by that is porche isnt the cheapest vehicle. Just the thought of one getting thrashed on a rally course just doesnt seem natural to me.
porche in rally? seriously?
I wonder if it was even economically efficient to use the Porsche and RX-8 in that rallycross…
Thumbs up to all the PNW rally folks in the scenes from 0:51 to 1:00. C. Crane in the CRX, A. Crane in the Corolla, Dahl in the Civic and Medcroft in the xr4ti! You guys rule.
An RX-8 in rallycross, that’s something you don’t see everyday.
No worries. Just reading off the card. The Honda CRX (sporting a 16B) was within a second of the Porsche at the finish in the Super Rally on Day 1. Had it rained, the Porsche would have not done so well.
I won’t argue the point. It does seem a bit unfair though.
