  1. Funny how they tell techies these kinds of things in school, yet I find them running impact wrenches on engine & tranny screws. Dood there is nothing beneficial bout redlinin a car it doesnt blow carbon out carbon gets baked onto the combustion chamber and nothin works better than sea foaming each cylinder

  2. Fun fact not revving internal combustion engines is detrimental because carbon buildup.

  3. Its the customers car. I as a customer dont rev my cars high, because it accelerates the process of engine degradation. our cars from my family rot around the motors. Trust meh dood, i know how to test a car, ive done everything on cars besides deep engine work, which is why i dont rev them high, because i’m out of a car if i have to.

  4. That’s what you have to do sometime. That isn’t doing any damage to the engine or car. You obviously haven’t a clue what road testing a vehicle for a noise entails.

  5. i thought there was something wrong with my rear suspension and then i removed the tools from my boot. problem fixed ;)

  6. It’s also sometimes good to rev out your car a bit. It helps clear out some gunk and buildup in the engine

  7. Hi Eric, What’s your thought of Akebono front brake pads on a 98 Honda Civic HX coupe? And what brand brake shoes should I use on my rear wheels? I was also planning on buying new OEM front and rear rotors. Thank you!

  8. jesus… i have the same noise happening in my 03 civic si. i always thought it was an engine mount because of the knocking noise. but i have a friend that said its probably the shocks and struts. So i bought new coilovers. Im praying that works because that means Id have to spend another 150…..

  9. Car squeaks as I enter, Exit, or turn the wheel or hit even slight smooth bumps. I lifted the car, set it back down and the noise stopped– BUT–I noticed the “Outter Tie Rod ball joints castle nuts were facing upward instead of facing the ground and the rubber boot covers were torn on both sides. these Outter Tierod ball joint thread bolts should be facing the ground. Thank you for your gr8 videos– ur awesome!

  10. In my Suzuki Esteem the sway bar link in the front is set up as follows from top to bottom: Washer, bushing, washer, Sway bar, bushing washer. I find it odd that there is metal on metal contact there. could this washer cause my suspension noise? It’s like that from factory.

  11. I do not know anything about car but I really learn something from you but I think is the spring leaf I can see hard and lean to the right you are a good teacher believe me thanks for all the information.

  12. Try buying them from the dealer some parts can’t be built aftermarket. What year do you have I want the 2002 rx7.

  13. yea your right but not every time you drive. You can drive it normally but once or twice take it on a long road trip just flooring it. Remember that rpm’s close to your redline really works an engine. Thats the reason why races car engine have to be rebuilt every few races the throttle is always all the way down.

  14. stop babying your car you can rev it all the way to the floor as long as it doesn’t redline.

  15. stop babying your car you can rev it all the way to the floor as long as it doesn’t redline.

  16. I have a 1994 Volvo 940 Turbo 4 door car and every time I drive my car and whenever I go drive the car and some times there are gonna be bumps in the floor so then I when I hit the bumps I hear a squeaking like squeaking from a old bed and the front part of the car starts jumping up and down. My friend said it might be the struts but im not really sure and I just don’t wanna hear that noise anymore what do you think most likely it would be?

  17. Eric doesn’t taking the wieght off the wheels make it difficult to simulate the find the noise ? Im out of idea’s..

  18. great video…just wish you were working on a ford thunderbird. Mine has had some constant front end noise since day one…and I have replaced just about every part under it…lol. Ball joints one these cars are too small, too weak, and prone to failure, and the dealerships will tell you the same! Just really poor design. Thanks for what you do! Keep the videos coming!

  19. You should rev any internal combustion engine high once or twice every time it’s being used. Staying at low steady rpm’s is bad. Carbon deposits will kill your engine, it’s built to rev that high.
