  1. Short and sweet advice.. to the point ..
thanks a lot Kiaran Finn that was some good stuff shared..
I am looking to buy my first car and this really does calm the nerves off ,of the negotiating process..
    Cheers Mate!!

  2. This is the dumbest video I’ve ever seen!! Those who can’t do, teach (well at least try to)!!! I wonder how many of you bought a vehicle using these stupid tactic..

  3. I couldn’t agree with you more about your tip. In fact, If someone like Mr. Finn walks into my lot and plays these little games the first thing I show him is the door. I dont need the business and frankly don’t need the game. Anyone looking to buy a car be nice and respectful to the salesperson and if you cant come to an agreement than you cant come to an agreement. It’s that simple!! No need to lie and no need play games!!

  5. this tactic works all the time at pawnshops too lol. only 1 so far thought they was walmart. so far ps3 120 gb slim paid $130 with tax wanted $150+tax , a digital kodak 12 mp camera just 2 months old att for $20 cause of a broken flash that retailed for $100 any lighting work with low light no flash mode, got a 1 yr old 32″ flatscreen tv with a built in dvd player for $180 that still retailed for 600+tax att problem no remote and a dvd stuck. got a universal and fixed the dvd just need cleaned

  6. Can any one tell me how much should i get an accord for, 2008 year, 46k miles, leather interior, 4 cylinder 2.0, bluetooth connectivity.

  7. It’s actually a lot easier than everything you just said. The “invoice” price that the deal pays for the vehicle is public information. Choose the car and say, “I’ll pay you 2% or $500 over invoice.” Military and costco usually get one of those discounts.

  8. …oh, and buy a car when you don’t desperately need one. Works wonders. You can just walk out and wait. You’ll get the price you want.

  9. Most car vendors are sneaky and lie on what and how the cars are maintained, ie. faked bills, bad repairs, blatantly being lied to about allegedly done repairs; uncovering broken parts during test drives and on and on…..most garagists cheat. They are as trustworthy as politicians. Just stating facts from my experience.

  10. sad to say but 99% in car sales treat the customer like shit and provide us with lies and bullshit answers. my girlfriend sold cars for Toyota, dodge and chevy and she has loads of true stories as to how the dealerships demanded the sales people to operate.. Some cars have little mark up and others that are the hot in demand models can easily add ton’s of mark up then run in to many thousands of dollars extra ! My friend owned a honda dealership and odyssey’s were marked up 3 to 5 thousand !

  11. Thnxs for the perspective John. having been in Sales for a long long time lol have seen ethical and unethical alike – & whilst time wasters and Tyre kickers are annoying the balance of power in the negotiation game is invariably with the trained sales professional who knows the margins and tie downs etc. I agree often the margins are minimal on new cars – but on trade ins and high turnover second hand cars there are still many sharks preying on the unprepared. For most even $200 is a win Cheers

  12. If only there were thousands of dollars profit in cars! I have had a number of people try `do better than that’ line on me, and they hadnt even driven the car.A tip from a car sales professional if you want a better deal: a/ Treat the salesperson with respect b/ be polite c/ dont tell lies about what you have been offered elsewhere, we can smell bs a mile off and I myself am well networked. There is a saying in the industry `Buyers are liars’.

  13. DAMMIT
as if I stumble upon this video now, after just purchasing a vehicle yesterday…
probably could’ve lowballed even harder ><“

  14. thanks! helpful tips for me for this comign week :D going to check out a car, gonna watch this a few more times
