I have a 63 impala and a 6.0 ls1 engine that I’m thinking about putting in the impala. I never put a newer engine in a old car before and was wondering what it would take to atleast get the ls1 in the impala. Will there be any cutting or mods I’d have to do to my impala or would it drop right in on my factory mount locations. I have the original mounts for the ls1 if that would help me. I just wanting to know what it”d take to get the engine in. Would it go right in place?

Should work.. You need to run some sort of a vehicle speed sensor, I know they sell adapters to do so otherwise the car will stall at a light without it..
Dude it was cake.. As long as you have a Chevy engine in the car it will bolt right up (your only going to use 5 bolts tho) and you need the spacer or appropriate flywheel to mount the flywheel to the converter. I run a carb so wiring was incredibly easy
im actually trying to do the same thing with the ls1 in my 80 camino but im not to sure the trans will line up so what trans are you running or would i just have to change the bell housing??? an was the wiring a pain or was it simple stuff

Depends which way you want to go.. for about 75 bucks you can mount the 6.0 in the truck yourself, If you want to retain EFI I suggest finding a shop.. Running a Carb will cost about the same however much less wiring.. I have no idea what a shop would charge.. I imagine it wont be cheap
I jave a 86c10 i plan on putting a 6.0 in it. Do you recommend a guy that has a bit of experience with trucks and welding skills but no major wiring experience to tackle this project? and if you know what a good shop usually charges for this?

Depends on your tastes and how much effort you want to put into your swap, Ideally EFI is the way to go, but with that comes added costs of tuning and what not
