I measured one of the King size pillowcase I already had – and just added an inch or so to that measurement – just in case there is shrinkage of the fabric – in Ms Jenny Tut – she says 27 inches for the body of the case – I go 30 inches on the case (gives me room for squaring up) – - 10 inches on the cuff and 2 inches on the trim – some standard pillows are a tad longer
This was a wonderful tutorial…makes it SO easy…except after I made a set, I found that the 2″ piping was a little too big so I cut it back to 1 1/2″. After watching this tutorial, I’ve made quite a few…THANKS so much!!!!
My niece wants me to teach her to sew. I think this project would be a perfect way for her to learn, and share with others. She is quite tender-hearted, and I know once I explain the project to her, she will want to make pillowcases to give to others, to provide the comfort she wants to give the world!

I bought one of those gel/memory foam pillows and it won’t fit into a regular pillowcase. I made one of these pillowcases in just under 1hr. Great tutorials very east to follow. Go girl go!!!
I usually sew down the loose edge of the little flange before sewing up the final seam, because it doesn’t lay down after washing unless you iron it…..HA….who irons it?
This is a really nice video. even though project is easy the instructions where very percise even for those who cannot sew.
