  1. MAN! I know what I’m doing this weekend! I bought a 99 Mustang GT a couple months ago and the headlights are hazed over like you would not believe (they look as bad as yours did)! I drove my gf’s car to work this morning because mine was just getting some maintenance done at the shop overnight, and I could see everything in front of me in her car! In mine, it’s like I’m driving without the lights on. lol.

  2. No problem. I was always into keeping my car looking clean, but since this year… almost last year now, lol… I’ve gotten super OCD about how I care for my car. I even noticed one of my headlamps was getting a little oxidized, I hit it with my buffer and some compound, took it all away and I’ve been keeping my headlamps waxed regularly with whatever sealant I choose. Menzerna is my choice lately. Goes on easily, buffs off even easier and it is priced a little less than most sealants out there.

  3. I can see how headlights with light oxidation would benefit from the toothpaste treatment, but really nasty yellowed headlights will require some wet sanding. Also, instead of using carnauba wax, which burns off at about 100 degrees F., try a sealant like Menzerna Power Lock, Meguiar’s Ultimate Wax, etc. They last about 3 to 5 months, whereas a traditional carnauba wax lasts maybe 4 to 8 weeks in the best conditions.

  4. Love it, thought the others were hoaxes, confirms they’re not, many thanks, appreciate the time and effort

  5. my car has his headlights hazed really bad since it is a very old car, I’ll give it a try with this since I don’t have the money to replace them, hope this works.

  6. looks okay but I am not sure how much I trust you. Maybe I will go try it on my neighbors car first.

  7. That works too. I was trying to do it with things everyone already has around the house.

  8. i actually found this very relaxing to watch you clean the lights lol, going to try it tomorow on my dads car :)
