CTS-V Powered ’68 Camaro Drop Top – BIG MUSCLE

Finding the right balance between a well tuned street car and a flat-out performance car is no easy task. However that didn’t stop Southern California resident Bob Hall from building what may just be one of the best vehicles we’ve ever driven. He started with an ultra clean 1968 Camaro SS convertible, fitted it with a supercharged LSA mill from a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V, reworked the entire drivetrain and suspension, and in the end, created a car that’s 44 years old but feels like it rolled out of the factory yesterday.

  4. That’s a sweeet ride, my 1970 rs camaro is also getting a LSA engine w/ a t-56 setup. This clip just made my day because I now getting a LSA engine was the right thing to do :-)

  6. so let me get this straight, 275 rear tires with 650rwhp? you need at least 305s in the back

  7. @Robert sickles you mean 1998 camaro, the LS series started in 97 with the vette, everything thereafter is based on the LS series of small blocks.

  8. Have you experienced Max Muscle Method? (check it out on google) It is a quick and easy way for you to build muscle fast.

  9. Michael this is a great car. Great video too. I would love to see one of these pro-touring cars with an independent rear suspension.

  10. I too have dyno test results, call D3 performance in Signal Hill, Ca and maybe they can explain how it’s putting out this much hp & tq at the rear wheels. Engine completely stock, with hedders,CAI and a tune had 580 rwhp, then we improved it a little to get the 655hp.

  11. I drive an ’09 cts-v LSA sedan with a 9.55 lower, idler pulleys, new era intake and on top of that the car is an M6. Car made 582whp on a dyno jet recently. I think the host/owner must be referring to crank HP. That makes more sense.

  12. Removing the cats in the V will not get you from ~450-480whp (typical stock dyno LSA) to 640whp

  13. you must not be a car guy if you do not know the answer.. they removed all four the cats they dont fit and you do not need to smog the car you dont need them..
