TUNED visits BBi Autosport in Huntington Beach, CA to drive their new Porsche 997 Turbo S. This unbelievable machine balances big power with low weight and suspension and brake upgrades to match. TUNED runs a quarter mile on a runway before heading into the canyons to see if BBi has really built a no-compromises ultimate street car for the track.

Lighter and more muscular, more distinctive and more fuel-efficient The new Boxster generation – the mid-engine roadster from Porsche Stuttgart. Never before in the history of the Porsche Boxster was a change of generation so comprehensive. The open-top two-seater car is being marketed with a completely new lightweight body and a completely revamped chassis. Considerably lower weight, longer wheelbase, a wider track and larger wheels significantly enhance yet further the mid-engine sports car’s driving dynamics, already far and away the best in its class, supported by the new electro-mechanical power steering. The new Boxsters boast superior performance and are also up to 15 per cent more fuel-efficient. Depending on model, they get by with significantly less than eight litres of fuel per 100 kilometres. The new Boxster thus delivers what the fundamentally changed styling with shorter overhangs, significantly forward-shifted windscreen, flatter silhouette and expressive edges promises. The passengers are enclosed by the completely redesigned, fully electric hood, which now dispenses with a convertible top compartment lid. The interior concept offers the occupants more space and reflects the new Porsche outline with the raked centre console, which, originating with the Carrera GT, ensures further improved ergonomics in all models. The new sports car generation makes its debut in the classic Porsche pairing of Boxster and Boxster S. Both models are powered by flat-six …

Matt has found himself. Great job!
Citation needed. Even if that is true, I highly doubt that is a problem that BBi can’t bypass.
troll?

@djkaxna yep. nobody can believe about this quickly. Listen to this, ive seen this car selling rediculously cheap on this site. you can also get it from here > bit.ly/Tr6jKy?=jkcnoi
That dude would not be able to drive the turbo without PDK.
Get that dirty white man out of a German man’s car…
I hate to be a “Negative Nancy” but this car does not actually have any more horsepower over stock. The PDK transmission is so advanced that it actually detects this extra power and will actually detune itself to bring the engine back to stock. Really the only way to make this car faster is to lighten it which they have already done. I know I am probably going to get a lot of crap from this comment so please do your research first before replying. The car does look and sound a lot better though
Whaat haha, that dude is awesome man
9:47 haha thats awesome

damn that porsche sounds so damn nice
Well, that’s what you call an endorsement! High praise indeed. Technical aspects aside, this is the best looking Porsche ever made! Fantastically poised and with an leaner rear end
RESPECT- Rohl is genious! I went up and down the French Alps to Les Arcs in the late 80s in my 944…no snow chains! people thought I was a nut case ready to be taken away to a mental hospital but I went steady and the 50/50 weight worked well..but no ABS, No traction, No LSD- and close to sheer drops (I am not sure what this road is like now- but then it was hairy and narrow with sheer drops)
Can’t wait to testdrive this new Boxster.
PORSCHE ; There Is No Substitute
all hail the king!!!! Walter Rohrl!
If it is good enough for Walter – it definitely will be good enough for me!
Wouldn’t take it in yellow though…
